The Glaramara Centre

Glaramara offers accommodation on a full board, half board and bed and breakfast basis with a mixture of twin and single rooms offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Facilities include residents bar, comfortable lounges with natural log fires and drying rooms. All our food is homemade and freshly prepared and we can cater for all dietary requirements. The Borrowdale Gates Hotel, Grange-in-Borrowdale

The Borrowdale Gates Hotel is one of our preferred higher standard accommodation providers in the Borrowdale Valley. Only 3 miles and a short drive from the Centre, it is set in the midst of many of the locations we use for our Outdoor Activities.

All the individually designed, recently refurbished en-suite bedrooms are wonderful to retire to after an invigorating day of outdoor activities. Every room has panoramic views of the Borrowdale valley and fells and is equipped with all you would expect from a hotel of this standard. Many bedrooms lead directly on to the manicured lawns or on to private balconies.  The food is also exceptional.

Doubles and Twin rooms are available including deluxe standard.  The hotel is happy to accept groups (including those involved in a Glaramara corporate team building event) as well as families and individuals. Single Occupancy can be arranged.  Naturally, the hotel offers a dinner option as well as bed and breakfast.

The Langstrath Country Inn, Stonethwaite

The Langstrath Country Inn is one of our preferred higher standard accommodation providers in the Borrowdale Valley.  Within walking distance from the Centre, it is also close to many of the crags and ghylls we use for our Outdoor Activities.

As detailed on its website, the hotel is set in the quiet unspoilt Lakeland village of Stonethwaite. Whilst there are only 8 recently refurbished bedrooms they are all very well appointed and boast lovely views of the valley and surrounding fells. Relaxation at the end of a long day of outdoor activities is easy at the Langstrath Country Inn. Its restaurant and bar (where non-residents are also welcome) serves excellent quality Lakeland dishes using only the finest local ingredients. We should know,  having dined there on a number of occasions.

The Kings Arms

The Kings Arms Hotel in the heart of Keswick can offer you quality accommodation at reasonable prices with accessibility to all the local attractions and amenities.
The hotel comprises: 1 superior twin room - 3 superior twin/zips which can be used for either twin or double (American design-comfortable both ways) - 3 standard doubles - 5 superior doubles - 1 four poster (including an additional sofa bed) A three course evening meal is available in the hotel restaurant. Car parking and free entrance to the nearby Loft nightclub each night of your stay.

Derwentwater Youth Hostel (Barrow House)

This 200-year-old mansion boasts extensive grounds with a large field and woodlands. Children will find plenty of space to play and look out for wildlife, including many species of birds, red squirrels and badgers. It also has a waterfall in the grounds powering a hydro-generator; ideal in these times of increased carbon emissions.
Situated on the shore of Lake Derwentwater it is only 2 miles from the popular market town of Keswick. As well as lake activities such as kayaking, canoeing and dinghy sailing, it is close to many of the crags and ghylls we use for our outdoor activities including rock climbing, abseiling and gorge scrambling.
Barrow House can cater for sizeable groups with a total of 88 beds in dormitory style accommodation. It also has extensive facilities including classroom/conference room, common room, games room, library, lounge, shop, laundry and drying room. Meals can be self-catered or can be provided by the hostel in its dining room. There is, also, a table license. In addition, Keswick with its large variety of food and drink establishments is ‘close at hand’.
