- The delights of strolling amongst the fells of the English Lake District have been well documented by the likes of Wordsworth and Wainwright. The exceptional range and variety of walks on offer provide many opportunities for ramblers of all backgrounds to experience these beautiful hills. Our instructors will guide you to such summits as Great Gable and Scafell or away from the crowds to sample some of the Lakes’ best kept secrets.
- From novices to the more experienced walkers, we can meet your requirements. Boots and waterproofs are available. You may wish to consider ‘building in’ a navigational element to your walking.
Walking Weekend
We also offer a short course which will look at the basics for travelling safely in the hills, whilst visiting some of the Lakes’ best kept secrets. The course content will include:
- Equipment
- Planning
- Navigation and route finding
- Mountain weather
The weekend includes two nights’ full board accommodation at Glaramara and two full days on the hill with a qualified and experienced instructor. Price on application.
