- Whether you have never looked at a map or compass before, or need to improve forgotten skills, Glaramara can offer two courses for you (either residential or non-residential).

Introduction to Navigation - 2 day course
Giving you the basic skills necessary to venture into the mountains with confidence, this course will look at many aspects of navigation: map types and features, symbols, scales, grid references, using a compass, bearings, measuring distances and route cards.
Navigation Techniques - 2 day course
This extremely practical course is ideal for walkers who have an understanding of basic navigation techniques, but would like to refine and hone some of their skills. This course will start by refreshing the basics, then move on to more specialist techniques and their application.
Both courses include:
- Transport during your stay
- Tuition by a qualified and experienced instructors
- All technical equipment
