- If you have ever wanted to escape from the usual footpaths and tracks onto more adventurous terrain, then why not consider developing some scrambling skills
- The programme will cover all the basic aspects of scrambling. You will leave with the skills necessary to venture onto the steeper areas of our hills with greater confidence. Feel ready to tackle Jack’s Rake, Sharp Edge on Blencathra or Helvellyn’s Striding Edge. Whilst travelling across and amongst some of the Lake District’s many interesting and exciting craggy ridges you will learn more about:
- Movement skills
- Basic rope techniques
- Navigation
- Mountain weather
- Equipment
The weekend includes:
- transport during your stay
- two full days on the hill with a qualified instructor
- technical equipment
- two nights’ full board accommodation
