Top of Scafell Pike on a clearer day!

A group from Broxtowe Ramblers, Nottinghamshire recently spent a weekend at the Centre.  

‘Our third successive year at the Glaramara Centre was as good as the first.  Friendly. helpful staff.  Good, wholesome food (and lots of it) and a location offered by very few hotels made our weekend again. 

We managed Scafell Pike walking from the Centre in 4 hours, with 4 hours back via Sprinkling Tarn and Styhead Tarn, and there was still plenty of hot water in the showers even after 6 o’clock. Shame it was cloudy on top and we couldn’t see a thing.  We’ll have to do it again next time’
