BUNBURY SCOUTS UNDERTAKE ‘BORROWDALE CHALLENGE EVENT’

Our scout troop enjoyed a stunning venue at Glaramara, set in the most dramatic landscape imaginable. We enjoyed both on-site and offsite activities, and the quality of the instructors and support staff was superb, with everyone being personable, efficient and easy to deal with. The instructors themselves handled our very lively bunch of scouts with great composure and expertise, and the boys took away both fabulous memories and numerous positive lessons learned about the values of working together in a team
The Borrowdale Challenge is a combination of outdoor activities designed to be enjoyable and competitive but achievable by all participants, this is a bespoke team-based event designed to your requirements. We advise on what is possible in the time frame available and within budgetary constraints. You, the client, choose suitable activities from the wide range on offer.
The Bunbury Scout programme:
Numbers – 18: 2 teams of 9
Timings – 10 am to 4 pm
Activities – a ’round robin’ circuit of:
- Canoe Treasure Hunt – find the clues and match the photos on Derwentwater, queen of the English Lakes.
- Raft Building – create your vessel and see it sink or swim!
- Problem Solving Exercises, Tree Climbing and Archery – work as a team to solve the problem and find out: ‘Who is Robin Hood?’
Cetificates for both teams were provided at the end of the Challenge.
