A group of Vimto management and employees recently stayed in Keswick and used Glaramara for its outdoor activities and team building.

Revisiting Glaramara 50 years on

We received a surprise visit from John Buckley and his wife, Marian, from Rochdale who were spending a few days at Bassenthwaite as part of an Armstrong Siddeley Owners Club get together. 

GMTV AT GLARAMARA

After a call, literally the evening before, GMTV came to do a feature at the Centre relating to ‘children being wrapped in cotton wool’ due to the perceived risks in undertaking outdoor activities.

Celebrating 50 years with a blindfold and some ropes (all above board!)

A 10 strong group of funseekers arrived from Gateshead this weekend hoping to celebrate Philip Oswald’s 50th birthday with some fun in the outdoors. 

NEW ACTIVITY BASE AND TRAINING SUITE

LANGLEY PARK SCHOOL FOR BOYS

A group of 75 children from Langley Park School for Boys together with 18 teachers, including Head Master and Deputy Head, recently made their annual visit to Glaramara taking part in numerous outdoor activities despite the poor weather.   It was the 39th Annual School Camp and the boys also participated in sports activities on the field [...]

LIAISON PRINT’S ANNUAL VISIT

Chris Henry brought a party of 30 from Leeds based Liaison Print to take part in some team building exercises. 

SPRINGFIELD FUELS LIMITED RETURN NOT ONCE BUT TWICE

For the second time in 2 weeks, a safety services team from Lancashire based Springfield Fuels spent two days at the Centre participating in outdoor activities for team building and developing Human Performance Tools.  John Woods who organised the course had good feedback from the team members and was again very pleased with the Centre as a venue.   Glaramara [...]
