Glaramara were pleased to provide the catering and bar service at the Braithwaite Institute for the wedding of Tom Ambrose and Mia Dransfield.

Tom has worked at Glaramara as an Outdoor Instructor for some years whilst Mia works for Cumbria Outdoors at Hawse End. Whilst both were born and raised outside the County, they both live and work around Keswick and were keen to celebrate the occasion in the Lake District.   The wedding ceremony took place at Greystoke Castle.  Glaramara Head Chef, Gareth Speight, prepared a lovely meal from a less than ideal kitchen.

The three courses started with  Buffalo Mozarella with Plum Tomatoes, Rocket, Parma Ham and Basil Oil.  The choice of main course was Beef and Guiness Casserole, Thai Marinated Chicken, Goats Cheese and Vegetable Pasta or Dressed Poached Scottish Salmon.  The Wedding Cake was presented as a tower of individual meringues.   There were many comments from guests that it was the best meal provided at a wedding that they could remember.   Entertainment took the form of harp music followed by a celeidh band.   Thanks goes to all the Glaramara team who worked so hard in ensuring that the wedding reception and evening ‘do’ were successful.
