Cumbria is one of the leading walking destinations in Britain. Glaramara is situated close to the Scafell range and other classic walks. 

Option 1*:

This course will look at the basics for travelling safely in the hills in winter, whilst visiting some of the Lakes’ best kept secrets. The course content will include: 

• Equipment
• Planning
• Navigation and route finding
• Mountain weather

Option 2*:

This is not a course but a series of guided walks during your stay, which will vary according to your requirements and preferences.

The cost of either option  includes:

• full board accommodation
• tuition by a qualified and experienced instructor on each full day of your visit .
• Transport between the Glaramara Outdoor Centre and the walk venues (if required)

Boots and waterproofs are available for hire at Glaramara.
