Over the past 5 years, Glaramara has played host to a large number and wide variety of clubs ranging from Rambling Associations to Adventure Clubs, from Church Societies to Social and Sporting Clubs. We provide a perfect venue and an efficient organisation that can put together visit programmes to meet all needs.
For all types of walking, there are few finer venues in the UK than Borrowdale which offer such a variety of opportunities. From the more demanding walks to the top of England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike, to picturesque river valley rambles, we have it all. We are fortunate to be located close by to excellent rock climbing crags, old underground mine workings, stunning Lakeland ghylls and the magical lake of Derwentwater, all giving rich and varied opportunities for many types of outdoor activities.
