Universities
The Borrowdale valley is a well suited and well known location for geography and geology field study. The Glaramara Centre offers a convenient and reasonably priced base for departments carrying out field studies and can also offer an excellent base for outdoor activity programmes. Recent clients include Birmingham College Adventure Tourism Department, Newcastle University Geomatics Department, Leeds University School of Earth Sciences and the Institute for Study Abroad.
Departments are free to organise and run their own programmes or may choose to use some of our expertise.
