Introduction to Navigation

This two day course is ideal for walkers who have a keen interest in the hills, but lack the confidence in their navigation should the weather turn bad.
The course will look at all aspects of navigation from; maps, symbols, scales, grid references, using a compass, bearings, measuring distances and route cards.
Giving you the basic skills necessary to venture into the mountains with confidence.
The course includes:
2 nights full board accommodation at the Glaramara Centre.
2 full days instruction from a qualified instructor.
2 packed lunches
Transport.

Navigation Techniques
This course is ideal for walkers who have an understanding of basic navigation techniques, but would like to refine and hone some of their skills. This two day course will start by refreshing the basics, then moving on to more specialist techniques and there uses.
The course includes:
2 nights full board accommodation at the Glaramara Centre.
2 full days instruction from a qualified instructor.
2 packed lunches
