Wedding Venue in the Lake District
Whilst we are not yet registered as a venue to conduct ceremonies we have hosted a number of wedding celebratons and would be happy to provide you with a range of services to make your day as memorable as possible:
Organisation and Preparation
We are happy to assist in whatever way you choose with regard to your event from choice of flowers and decorations, your catering requirements including menu planning and creation, transport and accommodation needs. We can offer a full service whereby, with your input, you let us take care of all the arrangements. Alternatively, we are aware that some people will need to work to a tighter budget and, therefore we are happy to let you take care of the finer details, including the setting up of the event on the day itself. We will always be available for consultation and to make suggestions along the way.
Wedding Planner
Our Wedding Planner and Catering Manager are happy to provide ideas and practical help concerning itinerary, flowers and decoration, transport and accommodation, entertainment and catering. We can also provide details of venues in the locality for the marriage itself. Why not avoid the need for late night transport and give your guests the option of booking in at Glaramara for bed and breakfast.
The Wedding Reception
On their arrival at the Centre, your guests will be greeted in the comfortable lounge overlooking the mountains with a welcome drink served on silver trays by our cocktail waiters. Weather permitting your party can enjoy their drinks on the sun terrace and bridge, whilst you are having your photos taken. Our lounge, dining room and other public areas will be beautifully presented in whatever style you have decided upon.
We can provide a photography service together with some suggested settings so that you will be able to look back on some memorable wedding pictures. The seating arrangements, menu, meal, toasts and speeches will follow in whatever style and format you have chosen
The Evening Function
If you would like to extend your wedding day into the evening and add entertainment in the form of a disco or a live band we are happy to oblige.
A Winter Wedding
We offer special rates if you can arrange your wedding midweek (Sunday to Thursday) or out of season, ie. November to March (incl). You may be surprised how spectacular Glaramara, surrounded by snow capped mountains, can look during these months.
Guest Accommodation
Its always nice during and at the end of a long day of celebration and socialising to be able to have somewhere to rest ‘close to hand’. The Centre can provide comfortable, affordable, rooms for your guests. A buffet style cooked breakfast is included within the price of accommodation
