- All equipment provided
- All ages and abilities
Enjoy a relaxing couple of hours learning techniques and honing your archery skills in the beautiful natural surroundings in the Borrowdale Valley.
The British have a long and cherished history with archery
British Royalty went to great lengths to ensure that enough men had the proper ‘Bowsman’ skills.
Games such as football, bowls and, in Scotland, golf were banned because men everywhere were playing those sports rather than practicing archery in their spare time.
Today though, Archery is a low-impact sport suitable for all ages and abilities. We teach using recurve bows (size and poundage to suit).
We have spacious grounds and all the equipment you need for an enjoyable session – including straw archery targets for adults and foam targets for children.
We teach in a no-pressure, fun and friendly environment, the focus is to build a skill set that could potentially take you onto great things.
Another great British tradition is drinking tea, we can harness the performance enhancing properties of a good brew and make refreshments are available should you require.
More information on the history, olympic and paralympic successes can be found on the link below.
