Glaramara Centre is surrounded by some of the best known Lakeland fells. The lowly but exquisitely picturesque Castle Crag and the higher tops of Great Gable, Glaramara, Dale Head and Scafell Pike are all accessible from our doorstep. Hill Walking venues don’t get better than this!
Further afield lie Blencathra and Helvellyn.
Our qualified, professional and knowledgeable staff can guide you on simple hill walks through to more challenging rocky scrambles, and can help you to improve your navigation skills for times poor visibility would normally put you out of your comfort zone.
All our activity staff have considerable local knowledge of the area and can help you to choose a suitable objective for your day.
Hill Walking can be either a half day or full day activity.
We operate in groups of up to ten people per instructor.
We can provide all specialist clothing and equipment.
Transport, hot showers and changing facilities are all included.
Glaramara has a team of experienced guides available to offer a nationally recognized navigational award (see our skills courses)
