The traditional name for a mountain stream in the Lake District is ‘ghyll’ although you will, sometimes hear the word ‘gorge’ used. These fast flowing watercourses have cut deep into the hillsides, providing the backdrop for the jumps, slides, dives and climbs which make this activity so different, exciting, popular and memorable.
So come and join us in this action packed activity where you will find yourself climbing waterfalls, sliding down chutes, jumping into plunge pools and crawling through tunnels. We are close to Honister Ghyll and the very popular Stoneycroft Ghyll , with its ‘washing machine’ and ‘corkscrew‘.
Consider, our Adrenaline Day by combining a ghyll scramble with the Via Ferrata.
Ideal for families and groups of all sizes.
Specialist clothing and equipment is, of course, provided as well as the prospect of a hot shower when you return to Glaramara
